Physiotherapy that gets you Strong, Inside & Out

About Me01

I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2012 after completing my Master's Degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Anglia, following an undergraduate degree in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth in 2009. I currently work in the NHS as a Team Lead Physiotherapist at Braintree Community Hospital, as well as offering private Physiotherapy services in Chelmsford, and elsewhere by request.

Rather than bore you with all the other qualifications and letters that come with a lot of studying and training, let's keep it simple. I'm a Physiotherapist, and I love to help people get out of pain, get back to doing what they love, and getting them as fit and strong as they desire.

My Approach02

Physiotherapy comes in many different forms, and it's important you see someone who is the right fit to work with you. I am more interested in rehabilitation than treatment, and helping you take an active role in getting yourself out of pain and back to doing what you love. Like most therapists, I can use 'hands on' treatments, but this is never the focus of my work. The focus is on understanding your problem in as much detail as possible, and developing a solution to help us both solve this.

My approach focuses on a thorough and extensive assessment to fully understand your problem and how it is stopping you living your life on your terms. This may well take longer than any assessment you've had in the past, but taking the time early on allows a treatment and rehabilitation plan to be laser focused to get you back to where you want to be. My assessment process has been developed from spending time with some of the leading professionals in the health and fitness industries across the world.

My goal for you is sustainable, long term results and not quick fixes. If you are looking to take control of your pain and get back to what you love, get in touch to find out how I can help you.

My Interests03

My work in the NHS, private, and occupational health sectors have given me a broad range of experience with a whole host of clients and patients. Whilst I am comfortable assessing and treating anything that is appropriate for Physiotherapy, my particular areas of interest and speciality are;

  • Gym related injurieswhether relating to pain, lifting technique or performanceHand lifting a weight
  • Hip and groin painPerson stretching hamstring
  • Hypermobilityincluding Ehlers Danlos syndrome and Marfan's Syndrome)Person jumping onto box
  • Low back painPerson stretching back

My Promise04

Rehab to Robust is not just another Physiotherapy service. There are hundreds of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Chiropractors you could see, so why choose Rehab to Robust?

The goal of Rehab to Robust is simple - to show you how to get better as quickly as possible, in as few visits as possible.

On average, I work with clients for no more than 3-4 sessions: You will not be sold unnecessary sessions, or receive treatments that simply fill time, rather than help you get better. You will however;

  • Be listened to and receive a thorough and complete assessment of your problem
  • Understand what is going on and how both Physiotherapy, and yourself, can help you
  • Receive an expectation of how long your problem will take to get better
  • Receive a full write-up of every session to ensure you know what's going on, and what the plan is
  • Be seen as few times as possible, to save your time and money

My Network05

Although the vast majority of people get back to normal with Physiotherapy, there are a small number of cases where it's not the right place to be, or another professional's input would be of more help. I have a large network of other therapist fitness professionals, doctors and specialists I work closely with within both the NHS and private practice in Essex and London. If I am not the right people to help, I know the people that can help. These professionals might include;

  • Your GP
  • Consultants, Surgeons and Specialists
  • Referring for further investigations and scans
  • Sports massage therapists or another Physiotherapist/Chiropractor/Osteopath
  • Podiatrist (including podiatric surgeons)
  • Personal trainers and Strength & Conditioning coaches

I work closely with these professionals on a weekly basis, referring and receiving clients to and from each other where needed. Your health and wellbeing is more important to me than your money, and I will not try to hold onto you if someone else can help you more effectively.
